Jaeger-LeCoultre 8-Day Travel Clock with Alarm (1935–1940)
A rare companion of luxury travel

An exceptional vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre mechanical 8-day travel clock with alarm, preserved in a handcrafted genuine leather case made to Hermès-level standards. During the mid-20th century, Hermès closely collaborated with JLC, creating high-quality leather cases for travel clocks and “pendule de voyage” models.

This example displays the distinctive qualities associated with Hermès craftsmanship of the era: rich brown leather, softly rounded edges, hand-stitched detailing, and the characteristic rolled hinge construction — a technique reserved for the finest leather artisans of the time. Even without a visible signature, the quality, construction, and natural patina reveal the exceptional level of craftsmanship.

Inside is a beautifully preserved Jaeger-LeCoultre 8-day mechanical movement with an integrated alarm function, a complication reserved for the most prestigious models. The brass frame and dial carry a smooth natural vintage patina, reflecting over 70 years of history and travel.

A true collector’s piece combining fine watchmaking and exceptional design — the precision of JLC’s long-running mechanical movement with the artistry of luxury leather craftsmanship.
